PTI 8th Anniversary Challenge for Day 7

I have finally completed all of my projects for the Papertrey Ink challenges! I made another card for the PTI 8th Anniversary Day 7 challenge: Create a new project that features nothing but metallics and neutrals. I wanted to make something masculine - which was really easy with the requirements. Most of the cards and projects I make are feminine so it was nice to make something that could be given to a male.

PRODUCTS USED:

Stamps:      PTI - Think Big Favorites #24
                                             PTI - Funky Florals

                      Paper:         PTI - True Black
                                             DCWV - Metallic Gold

Ink:             Encore - Gold Pigment Ink

Misc:          Creative Beginnings - Gold Embossing Glitter/Powder
                                             bling from my stash

I really wish my photo skills were more up to par.... This card is absolutely gorgeous! The pictures dont do it justice. I used an embossing powder that has glitter in it so the sentiment is raised as well as very sparkly. I tried to capture that in the second photo. I have had this embossing ink and powder/glitter for quite a few years and this is the first time I have used it. I absolutely love it!!! I also have some Silver Embossing Glitter/Powder. I will be breaking that out in the very near future! I am very pleased with my card today. I hope you like it as well. Thanks for stopping by!    Keysha

PTI 8th Anniversary Challenge for Day 1

Here is my entry for the PTI 8th Anniversary Day 1 challenge: Create a new project that uses one Color Recipe Card and one Sketch Recipe Card.   I chose the color and sketch recipe combo shown below:

PTI8-color-inspiration-1

PTI8-sketch-inspiration-2

And here is what I came up with:

PRODUCTS USED:

Stamps:     PTI - Thing Big Favorites #24
                                             PTI - Baker's Dozen

                       Dies:         PTI - Baker's Dozen

Paper:       PTI - True Black, Pure Poppy, Hibiscus Burst, New Leaf, Aqua Mist

                       Ink:           PTI - True Black

Misc:       Top Boss - Embossing Stamp Pad
Creative Beginnings - Clear Iridescent Embossing Powder
Stamp Art - mini pop dots

I really like how this card turned out. I die cut the cupcakes on colored card stock with the idea of embossing them with white embossing powder. However, I didn't have any white embossing powder so I used a clear iridescent instead. I really like how it turned out. I have one more project to complete and I will be done with all of the challenges. This has really been a lot of fun! Thanks for stopping by!  Keysha

I'm back with another card. Here is my card for the PTI 8th Anniversary Day 8 challenge: Create a new project that features a blue ombre effect.  I really like the card that I made today. The other day I attempted the watercolor technique and it turned out OK. I like todays turnout a lot better! And its probably because I used actual watercolor paper today! LOL!!!

PTI 8th Anniversary Challenge for Day 3

Here is my project for the PTI 8th Anniversary Day 3 challenge: Create a new project that includes a handmade tag with a matching gift bag. I wanted to make something masculine and for Valentine's Day so I made a treat bag with a matching tag. I absolutely love how this turned out!!! The paper I used was from my stash of scraps - leftover papers from previous projects. I hope I have more of this paper because it is absolutely gorgeous! I know I have had it for a couple of years so it may no longer be available for purchase.

PTI 8th Anniversary Challenge for Day 2

I'm baaaack! I  just got back from visiting my sweet granddaughter Carmen.  She turned 3 on Saturday. I had a wonderful time, as always, and it was so hard leaving!!! She lives in W Virginia and I am in Michigan so I dont get to see her as much as I would like.

Today I want to share a project that I completed for the 8th Anniversary celebration over at PTI. The festivities began last Thursday the 5th but that was the day I left to go see my G-baby. So, I am behind with the projects for the contests! Luckily we have until the 15th to post what we create.

This first card is for the PTI 8th Anniversary Day 2 challenge: Create a new project that is inspired by one of Maile Belles' creations. Back in August of 2014, Maile created a card using the stamp set Fancy That. She created a gorgeous background with that set and that is what inspired my card. You can see the inspiration for my card here.

PRODUCTS USED:

          Stamps:   PTI - Mehndi Medallion
PTI - Think Big Favorites #3

I will be posting another card for one of the other PTI challenges later today - I'm trying to get caught up! In the meantime, here's a couple of pics of my sweet little granddaughter Ms. Carmen.  Thanks for stopping by!   Keysha

MAS Prima Doll in Armoire - Valentines Day Theme

Today I would like to share 3 Prima Doll armoires that I made. I made these for a swap over at MAS.  When I saw these armoires I knew I had to make some of my own! I really love making tags and scrapbook pages with the Prima dolls - but now that I know how to make these armoires, I think this will be my new favorite way to display my paper dolls.

I decided to make them all the same - in terms of doll stamp used and the doll accessories.  However, I couldn't decide on which patterned card stock to use so I made the actual armoires all out of a different pattern.

Papertrey Ink Make-It-Monday #200 - Layering Coverplate Die Cuts

Happy Snow Day!!!!!!

Here in Michigan we were hit with 16-18 inches of snow. It snowed non-stop from late Saturday night until early Monday morning. When I went outside the snow was past my knees! So I am literally snowed in - the schools are closed, the banks are closed, the courts are close (that's where I work) and I would be super surprised to see the mail man delivering today.

I thought this would be a good opportunity for me to get some crafting done AND to post on my blog. So, for the first time, I will be participating in PTI's Make it Monday Challenge # 200. The challenge is to layer your cover plate die cuts. For my card I used the Chinatown cover plate die.

I kept it pretty simple with this card. I used chocolate card stock on top of the cream.... The base of the card is one of my favorite colors - an apple green. The sentiment I used was from PTI's Pedal Pusher set.

PRODUCTS USED:

Die - PTI  Chinatown cover plate
        Stamp - PTI  Pedal Pusher
        Paper - Recollections stash
Ink - PTI Perfect Match True Black

I hope you like my card. Thanks for stopping by!
